http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operatio... (was the final combined HV & HVO & ARBIH offensive of the Bosnian War. It took place in western Bosnia and Herzegovina on 8–11 October 1995. Its goal was to help the ARBiH whose positions around the town of Ključ were endangered by a counteroffensive by the Serb army. The HV attacked Serb positions around the town of Mrkonjic grad at the same time Serbs withdraw from theire attack on the town of Kljuc to defend Mrkonjic grad from HV & HVO. While Serb forces withdrew from their offensive towards Kljuc the ARBIH used the opportunity launched a fresh attack towards Sanski Most and captured the town and came within 40km of Banja Luka. The next day the most elite units of the HV attacked from three sides towards the town of Mrkonjic Grad forcing the VRS to withdraw from Mrkonjić Grad,The HV captured Mrkonjic grad and continued its advance and took control of the Manjaca mountain later also HVO had captured the Bočac Hydroelectric Power Station. The final objective was achieved when the force reached a line 25 kilometres (16 miles) south of Banja Luka. Next day HV & HVO entered Banja Luka municipality The advance reportedly came within 14 kilometres (9 miles) of the urban parts of the city Banja Luka , whose electrical power supply was interrupted, and where a curfew was imposed in response to the deteriorating situation with refugees and chaos in Banja Luka. Operation Southern Move ended on the night of 11/12 October. The offensive captured an area 40 kilometres wide and 20 kilometres deep. The defeat of the VRS also made it clear to the Bosnian Serb leadership while the HV was just 14km from the town of Banja Luka itself that they had to commit to ending the war through negotiations or risk the capture of Banja Luka by advancing HV & ARBIH & HVO troops)
